Very cute story and illustrations. Great for a lesson on the many inventions of China. We learned about how the ancient Chinese made cloth out of silk so this book was a great supplement as it went into detail about each step to the process in an accessible way for young readers or listeners. Recommend. ( )

Takes place in 2640 BC and tells the legend of how silk was discovered. Includes background information at the end, including how the secret of silk was kept hidden for 3,000 years!
