I was skeptical at first when a friend gave this book to me, but pleased that I read it. It gave me an appreciation of the purpose of the Relief Society organization and those who worked so hard to build it into a world-wide organization. Often I have felt that Relief Society is for women with children or older women, but now I have a new understanding of its role. I also have a new admiration for those great, visionary women who led RS, but also started the primary, hospitals, welfare program and social services as a part of RS. They also helped others through difficult times such as the Great Depression and represented the church in the US women's organizations. This book is a fairly easy read with general vocabulary.
