So ive been mulling this one over for a few days before I put pen to paper. Unleashed the final book in the Devils Reach series is one I have been waiting with bated breath for especially with how we left things previously and the identity of the mole finally revealed and as I would expect this was excellently written full of the usual twists and turns with murder and mayhem throughout. This particular series definitely doesn't pull its punches in regards to its content with gives a very realistic flavour to the whole story. I reread both Trigger and Demons to prepare for this as I wanted to experience the whole tale as a full entire narrative and I do think this really helped me in terms of my enjoyment of unleashed. So my issue of why I was ping-ponging in my eventual rating is I didn't quite enjoy Unleashed as much as its predecessor's. This had a few things that didn't quite work for me: well Two mainly I wasn't a fan of all the OW drama: even if that is all it was unnecessary fluff: I thought we had maybe got to a point where we could cast off all that unwelcome showmanship and just cut to the chase. second Triggers mood here was off the charts: I mean the man was already certifiably psychotic did we need to add an extra element of insanity into the whole equation. But besides them grumbles This is still the darn best MC series I have read and for the reason alone I have to give it its due. So I am going to go with a five on rating as despite my bugbears here: I can't in all conscience rate it any lower: I just enjoyed the story too much and this is so much better than others of a similar genre ive rated a four. I voluntary reviewed an Arc of Unleashed (Devil's Reach, #3). All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
