A very good anthology (although I dislike that "The Killing Joke" is conveniently left out of it) that reprints an extensive selection of Alan Moore's shorter stories and arcs for the DC Comics and Wildstorm universes. As one would imagine from Moore, a lot of these stories are very dark and textured for mainstream superheroics, but he manages to soak them in their mythologies largely without making it inaccessible to the mostly uninitiated. While they're not all solid gold, some of these stories will stay with me for a long time, I think. ( )
