What is the role of corporate prayer in the church? Prayer is as necessary to the Christian as breathing is to the human body-but it often doesn't come quite as naturally. A book with a very specific purpose: examining how prayer shapes the life of the church. Looks at the problem of prayerlessness and a remedy; three chapters look at Jesus and prayer' the last three chapters consider prayer in a service, prayer meetings and prayer and mission. Conclusion fights temptations. Good and practical. It does mention an appendix pointing to other books on prayer but that wasn't there! ( )
