Things change for Avery after she stumbles on the activities in the Boardroom. Carson's intrigued by her and saw how her voyeurism affected her and is determined to bring her into the Boardroom. He continually tells her there is no relationship but all his actions scream possessiveness. Avery has hang-ups and while she at first seems to bloom as she explores her sexuality with Carson her inner shame dialogue makes for a rough road. Hot, steamy sex scenes, a good fantasy erotic romance. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

-- The Boardroom. After hours, itâ??s where Bay Area moguls indulge their fantasies. Ties are loosened. Inhibitions, too. Assistant Avery Fast watched from a distance, mouth gaping, blood roaring wildly in her ears as she stared at the naked woman on the table before her. At executive Carson Haggert ordering a man to pleasure her. It made her feel guilty, embarrassedâ?¦and hot. Carson watched and waited. Waited for Avery to notice him in the Boardroom. Waited for her to like what she saw. Waited to see what sheâ??d do the next day. And the next. He couldnâ??t let her goâ??not when sheâ??d seen what goes on in the Boardroom. He couldnâ??t stop thinking about the desire in her eyes, the flush on her cheeks, her obvious arousal. Getting her to join was easy. But now Carson wants Avery all to himself. Quiet and reserved, Avery Fast is shocked yet intrigued when she stumbles across an intense sexual encounter in her office building. Executive Carson Haggerty has noticed Avery before but decided to keep his distance. However, after seeing Avery's obvious curiosity and arousal, he changes his mind and actively seeks to broaden her horizons and awaken her sexual desires. The only problem is his "no string attached" policy is soon put to the test when he realizes that he wants more than just a few casual encounters with Avery.
Avery and Carson's characters are well-developed and their opposing personalities, his liberal and open, and hers conservative yet inquisitive, make for some intense interactions. They have an excellent physical and emotional connection, and the naughty/forbidden aspects of their romance only add to their attraction.
Aicher's writing and pacing are smooth and engaging. The only minor issue is the conflict at the end, which feels somewhat contrived, and Avery's feelings of hurt and betrayal are an overeaction given the trivial nature of Carson's "mistake".
The basic premise of "The Boardroom" is very intriguing, and I look forward to continuing the series and meeting the men and women involved in the sessions. ( )
