After Monsterland has imploded, the entire world is thrown into chaos. World leadership is gone, economies have collapsed, and communications are non-existent. Wyatt must go beyond the boundaries of his small town to reestablish contact with the outside world, and alert the government about a traitor-in-chief. During his journey he discovers a new threat released from the bowels of the defunct theme park. When an army of relentless mummies, a life-sucking ooze called The Glob, and a hybrid reanimated Behemoth rise from the depths of Monsterland, who will survive?"The adventure ramps up to an enjoyably gore-soaked finale?full of both mayhem and heart." - Kirkus Reviews "LOVED it! I'll be seeking out more from this author!! My customers will love it too!" - Bonnie Scherr (Bookseller), NetGalley Reviewer "?a gripping story with a Jurassic Park vibe?he manages to explore social and political structures that make the unbelievable story of a theme park where one can walk among the zombies and be chased by werewolves, feel fairly believable." - Bianca Schulze, Book Reviewer "Monsterland is an interesting and intriguing book that starts to build characters at an even pace with a rich understanding towards the younger characters. The plot is interesting and he hands action and description very well which gets you to the meat of the story in this rapid page turner."- Anjuli Clayden (Bookseller), NetGalley Reviewer "?peppers the narrative with real-life significance....a talented and clever enough writer to imbue his characters with real emotion...It is this deepening of the plot that elevates Monsterland above standard monster fare. The novel will prove an entertaining and thought-provoking read for both teenagers and adults." - Scott Neuffer, Foreword Reviews "...Monsterland an intriguing read, one that provides a solid narrative, intriguing characters capable of growth and change, an ideal setting as a backdrop, and an under pinning of fervent social consciousness transformed into a story." - Michael Collings, Collingnotes "?belongs right up there with the modern great of horror writing, Stephen King. Anyone who enjoys well written, fast paced, complex horror stories with authentic detail should read this book." - Lemon Bee… (mere)

In the first book we find a situation that has gone terribly wrong. By gathering up zombies, werewolves and vampires and putting them into one area and opening it up to the public Victor Konrad has created a situation that almost destroys the world.

Reading this is like watching a movie. I think it would make a wonderful movie. You have it all, governments that do things for the wrong reasons, scientists who have their own agendas, people who are greedy and looking for power. You know in the movies when all of these things come together you are going to have the ride of your life. This book is no different. The author even addresses the issue of stereotyping people. Wyatt and his friends and family are out to save their town from what is coming. The author introduced a new monster to the book, the Glob. I grew up watching every Saturday night a show called, “Nightmare Theater”. One of the most terrifying things a young middle school aged kid can watch, ALONE, is a blob that devours people. This book brought back those horrifying, yet wonderful memories. This is a book you can easily lose yourself in and read in one sitting. Highly recommended. ( )

REVIEW by LAWonder10:
^^Note: Originally, I was just going to read/review this second book in the Monsterland series... Luckily, the Publisher could see the error and sent me both Books 1 & 2. Ir would be a grave injustice to the author not to read the first book before reading others.
With that said, although Horror stories are not my "cup of tea", Michael Oken has done a very good job in creating this Horror series. It is graphically gory and the action and suspense is non-stop. The story-line is very creative. Although gruesome, it does bring a few interesting points up for discussion.
The three points which was most prominent in my mind was: (1) What seems so important when one is young changes, and is often embarrassing as one matures. Yet most of us put so much emphasis on it a the time.
(2) When one is put in devastatingly challenging circumstances. one often discovers strengths and ideas he/she would never have realized was possible.
(3) When one loses loved ones and a life one feels comfortable in, no monetary means can compensate for that loss.
The characters were all very well portrayed and the scenes described fairly well. Some scenes wee so bizarre it was hard to visualize.
This would surely be a "hit" if it were made into a movie. I am sure those who enjoy Horror films would anxiously attend it and eagerly await the next one.
I offer a Four Stars raring for this Literary work.
*This book was gifted me with no pressure for a positive review. This is my honest review. ( )

Sequels can be fickle beasts, and although I was ready to relinquish it to the land of part two's, I held on...I mean, this author's work has surprised me before, so yeah...I had high hopes. Was it worth it? In my opinion, yes because where he could have copped out and rode the same paranormal influenced train into the ground, he didn't. He introduced NEW characters who were certainly worth their weight in proverbial gold. He brought to light OLD characters we thought long lost and made them shine again. He made new connections between those we thought we knew so well, but discovered we were only scratching the surface of. In short, he reopened the gates of Monsterland for a new audience as well as the original fans, giving us a new perspective on just what could happen if those characters we THINK we know so well actually came to life...

Recommended for Young Adult Paranormal fans from teens through adults. There's magic, mayhem, and science running a muck within these pages along with a few other SURPRISES you won't see coming...

I am loving this horror, apocalyptic, dystopian novel of terror.

Monsterland Reanimated, Book II of the Monsterland series, by Michael Okon picks up where Monsterland, Book I, leaves off.

The world has gone to hell, leaving an apocalyptic, desolate existence.

The kids grew up quick, some faster and more eager than others to step up. Danger dogs their every step, but the band of youngsters will stop at nothing to banish evil.

Igor and Dr Frasier have duties dictated by the now deceased Vincent?

Motive =.Power.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

First it was zombies, werewolves, and vampires. What will they be fighting this time? Do humans stand a chance against them? I am sure it will be gruesome.and deadly.

What’s more dangerous than a speeding bullet? Whisp soda.

Action, adventure, suspense, thrills and chills, abound in this twisted horror novel that makes Jurassic Park look tame.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of Monsterland Reanimated by Michael Okon.

What a brilliant continuation to the Monsterland series! I loved this second book. It was excellent to catch-up with the guys again, and get an opportunity to see how they would battle the follow-up to the dreaded Monsterland.

I loved getting to know the group even more. We really got to connect with them, their personalities and their fighting techniques, in the first book, and we got so much more detail about them in this book. I really feel as though I know them, and it is fun to see how they take on their next challenge, when they expected to get to go home and see the last of the terrors, from Monsterland.

The pace matched the story very well. It kept moving, to really blend well with the fact they were chasing and fighting monsters that needed to be dealt with before they destroyed the world as they know it. It had moments to get to know the surroundings, but really just kept it exciting and dramatic, which was brilliant.

Overall a brilliant read and one that a lot of reader will enjoy! ( )
