This is a good book for 7 to 9 years and is about a boy learning his feelings towards his grandfather. The boy was learning about his values of family. Pierce college library

I liked this book, "Fishing Sunday" because illustrations really gave off an authentic feeling. I think that they really enhanced the descriptive words used throughout the story as well as gave insight into where the story was taking place. I also thought that the point of view of this story made it even more relatable to young students. Fishing Sunday was told through the eyes of the young boy and main character and he really gave way to what he was feeling throughout the story. The plot of this story was also interesting because it starts off with the young boy thinking that his Grandfather was odd and weird for the traditions and things he did on Sunday when fishing. But as the story progressed the main character learns to appreciate his Grandfather and his antics because they have meaning to him and he feels as though they should to him too. ( )

This book is a great way to teach children to be accapting, weather its family or friends. This book shows how the young boy learns to love his grandpaw for who he truley is, flaws and all! ( )
