This is a sweet, romantic story. Natalie and Charlie are wonderful characters and the storyline is intriguing. The book was well written and I look forward to reading more books by this author.I received a complimentary copy of this book from LibraryThing. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it. This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author. (Librarything.com) I enjoyed this book yet hated thwt it was so short because when 6ou invest yourself in the characters it ends. That being said it was enjoyable, loved tge characters and am pretty sure you would too. I had never read from this author vefore but it will not be the last book I get from her. I also didn't get the name?, it didn't go with story. And by us, I mean everyone who lives above the Mason/Dixon line. I am from South Carolina so we have a small window of winter. Generally mid-November to the middle of February. Our winters are mild to say the least, even though we are completely lost if it drops below 40 degrees. So the Winter Olympics are a lot like Egyptian Hieroglyphics over here. And that's what this book is kinda about. Well, it's a romance about an Olympic skier and his agent's assistant. A Tycoon's Rush follows Natalie as she tracks down Charlie, her elusive client, who is missing out on one of the biggest endorsement deals of all time. She tracks him down in small ski town in Italy where she then has to convince him to do what she wants. What follows next is probably what you'd expect. Girl meets guy, there is instant attraction, and then they fall into bed for the next 3/4 of the book. Well...you would be right. This is a short book. I would really call it a novella really and it is kinda predictable. But we don't read these books cause we want twists. We read them because we want cutesy love that's easy. I thought this novella was cute. I’ve never read anything by this author but I wasn’t disappointed in the least. This is the second in the series but you didn't need to read the first to be able enjoy this book. I am not a huge sports nut and I live in South Carolina so skiing really isn’t my thing. However, the workings of sport management was interesting. The insta-lust was believable yet the fact that they stayed together after that was slightly less believable. I do think that it was kinda short but if I knew it was a novella before reading, it wouldn’t have bothered me. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

"An Avery Laval romance is like a ripe cherry drenched in chocolate--delicious, sexy, and utterly addictive " --New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Nina Lane She heads to the Italian mountains to bring an Olympic hero back home. But will she lose her heart instead? Natalie Schaffer has accepted that she'll always be an assistant at her sports agency. That's okay--her dream job is her outdoor photography, not the wheeling and dealing of agency life. But she jumps at the chance to take an endorsement deal to the reclusive Olympic champion Charlie Ahlers, who stepped off the gold medal podium and disappeared from public eye. Natalie never crushes on her agency's clients, but Charlie holds a special place in her heart--from a distance, of course. Charlie Ahlers is perfectly happy hiding out as a nobody in sleepy European ski towns. He knows he's supposed to capitalize on his Olympic victory and train for the next Games. But, for reasons that are his own, his heart isn't in it. When the sexy American girl prances into his bar and slaps a contract down next to his glass of scotch, he can't believe she's an agency rep. He hasn't found a girl so interesting in months. When she dares him to take her out on the slopes, he can't tell her no. When skiing turns into dinner--and more--he realizes he might be in bigger trouble than he thought. With Natalie's agency job on the line, and Charlie's secrets holding him back, will they be able to let go of their fears and find hope--and happiness--together? No library descriptions found. |

Like previous reviewers I agree with that the title and cover art did not match how I saw the main male character Charlie, but I cannot fault the author on a fluffy, fun read that I enjoyed thoroughly. ( )
