HTML:This classic novel from Debbie Macomber is a moving story of heartbreak and hope, showing how love can heal even the deepest wounds. Twelve years have passed since Angie Robinson fled her hometown of Groves Point, South Carolina, with ten thousand dollars and a broken heart. She knows Simon Canfield still lives there. His powerful family practically owns the town. Now she's back, if only to return the money Simon's mother paid her to leave. For too long Angie has lived with her regrets, her mistakes, and her suffering. If there's forgiveness to be had, the time has come. Years of anger and bitterness have hardened Simon's resolve, and he doesn't want any part of Angieâ??or her excuses. But when he discovers the truth about what happened and why she skipped out on him, everything changes. Simon lost the woman he loves once. Despite all that's happened since, and all that still stand between them, he's not about to lose her again. Published by Debbie Macomber Books No library descriptions found. |

This book sounded interesting and was glad I was picked out of 500 to get a free copy for an honest review.
Starts out with Angie who is in love with Simon, ever since high school. Over time she learns from his mother now that he's at college she needs to move along and he has other interests. She even pays her to leave. She broke them up once and now her father is keeping them apart.
Medical emergency surgery with her father leads her to call Simon to help comfort her. ...surprised at the hints of sex as this author is one who doesn't 'go there'. Simon has the solution to the problem and she agrees with him....things don't go according to plan ....
Excerpt from Last One Home is included. Other works by the author are also highlighted at the end.
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review ( )
