I really, really liked it!!!

One of my main things to love in this one was that we actually get a continuation of the story, and it's not over yet. I really liked how Rhys and Feyre are dealing with their respective experiences throughout the war, and how everyone else is too.

I was starting to hate Nesta in this one, because I thought she was getting really out of line, but I read the sneakpeek of the next book, and now I'm officially up for the next one(I was really considering not reading the next books in this series, but now I'm going to!!)

I really like Mor, and I want to know what exactly it was that she saw out there. And whether Azriel and Elain are going to be a thing, or Elain is going to end up with Lucien after all.......I'm up for both of those outcomes!

I really liked it, and I recommend it to anyone who has read ACOTAR (the series up till now) and not read this. Seriously, what are you people doing not reading this!??!?!?! ( )

I was prepared for it to be a bit boring, this was basically an intro to the future books in the series, so I didn't expect anything big. And I'm totally fine with it.

This novella was written mostly for those, who weren't ready to let go of Feyre and Rhys, and I belong to those readers. My little heart is satisfied. :)

We got a little taste of almost everyone, and I'm so sooo excited, especially after that short excerpt about #Nessian in the end. I believe their story would be even better than #Feyrhys, if such a thing is even possible. Nesta will kick ass in Illyria. :D

I can't see where the Lucien-Elain-Azriel love triangle is headed, but I'm curious as hell. At this point I don't know what to think of Tamlin either. I can find him a better existence than death, though everyone seems to want to kill the poor faerie, I'm still holding out hope for a match made in the Cauldron, such as #Tamlien or #Lucin or whatever their shipname is. :) Want me some hot gay faeries. Sue me! LoL

This book might be my favorite one in the series so far. Just because of the insight of the other’s lives and what they do, think just knowing more about them! It’s a sweet book that promises a lot for the future ones and damn I cannot wait!!! ( )

This review is also featured on Behind the Pages: A Court of Frost and Starlight

Winter Solstice is upon the Night Court. Construction is underway to rebuild, and the people are beginning to heal. It will be a long road to keep the thread of peace that has settled between the fey and humans. But the holiday brings a needed reprieve from the work and political navigation that the characters have endured.

As a companion novel, readers should not expect A Court of Frost and Starlight to be as involved as prior books. The tone Sarah J. Maas sets is tied into a build-up book for the future of the series. Each character readers have come to know in the circle of friends receives at least one chapter. Of course, Feyre and Rhysand earn the most chapters, but by the end of the novel, readers will know how everyone is dealing with the after-effects of the war.

A Court of Frost and Starlight was more of a feel good read. Being able to revisit a world that I’ve come to enjoy, and experience more of the culture that holds it together. Sure there was a bit of romance. But given that it involves Feyre and Rhys there will be. This book did spark more of an interest for me in Nesta. It teases what goes on in her mind, and how she is coping with being fey, and what she experienced in the war. I certainly want to read the next book in the series and find out if her icy demeanor ever melts.

While I think this isn’t a necessary story to read in the series, it will certainly help paint the picture for A Court of Silver Flames. Just be prepared for a lighter read. ( )
