This is the second book of the Marco Polo's trilogy. It tells the life of Marco Polo serving the great Khan and exploring his empire, mainly the south-east Asia.
Now the young adult Marco Polo has grown, but he shows an insecurity, that is incompatible to all the things he has experienced. Anyway, the character gets a lot better than the first book.
The lack of action and excessive love acts are still present. but the plot gets more interesting with missions given by the emperor (there are even some very good, but fast, war scenes) and new and mysterious characters.
The portuguese edition have a few typing / spelling errors, and it should be revised. ( )
