This continuation of the Mirror Visitor Quartet brings us to the ark of Babel, as Ophelia begins to uncover more secrets of the world, the Family Spirits & their books, and God's role in the rupture as she tried to find Thorn. Some parts of this book went on and on into details that ultimately were unnecessary. I think a lot could have been cut out and it really could have been combined with book 4. Still, there was some good character development within this book and overall the plot was interesting. ( )

Esta serie me vuela la cabeza, y esta entrega no fue la excepción. Christelle Dabos ha creado un universo magnífico y complejo, muy disfrutable. Una lástima que la edición en español aún no llegue a México y que sea tan poco conocida la serie. ( )

Ophelia vertrekt in haar eentje naar de Ark Babel nadat ze meer dan 2,5 jaar op haar thuisark Anima is geweest. Al die tijd heeft ze Thorn niet gezien, maar nu ze waarheid weet over de familiegeesten wil ze toch iets doen om het raadsel verder uit te zoeken. Babel is een hypermoderne ark en om met de persoon in contact te komen, moet ze een opleiding volgen om voorloopster virtuoos te worden. Ze wordt niet al te hartelijk ontvangen op die school en moet veel moeite doen om overeind te blijven en te slagen voor het eindexamen. Dan sterven er een paar mensen onder verdachte omstandigheden en wordt de zoektocht echt gevaarlijk. ( )

I think this one is my favorite out of the series so far. I loved the story that this one covered. The characters that I met in this one I can't even begin to explain how much I love those new ones. Also, the sections that Involved Victoria's POOV were amazing. The plot twist in the last one was insane, I did not expect that to happen. AND then the situation that involved Ophelia and Thorn!!! My heart can't handle them, I love them so much! The last chapter (minus the last paragraph) had me so giddy. Gods if anything happens to them I will commit murder. I'm so excited to read the next one. ( )

A real page turner. Ophelia escapes her home with a little help from her friends to seek Thorn and enrolls under a false identity on the ark of Babel to gain access to the ultimate truth. Some of her painful experiences reveal that some of the important truths are within her. In the ark of Pole, there are glimpses of disturbing developments. ( )
