Madison is a little girl who was born with no left hand. She shares the story of the day she was fitted with a prosthetic hand. The book gives readers an opportunity to see how prosthetics are made and how they work. Madison is very happy with her new "helper" hand and names all the things she can do with it that she couldn't do before. ( )

Technology is truly amazing! the fact that a hand or a leg can be created and then used as a normal hand or leg is mind-boggling. It was interesting to see how the prosthetic hand was made and how it was going to change Maddison's life. She was born without a hand and these doctors were able to give her a hand that could pick up toys and does so much more. ( )

This book is about a girl that was born with only one hand and had to have a prosthetic made for her. This is a great way to show children that any obstacle that is thrown at them can be solved with help. This story could be read individually, in a small group or as a class to understand how their classmate feels and how they should not be treated differently. Ages 3-5. ( )
