Rosanne Bittner provides an example of courage amidst fear, hope in spite of hardship, and grace while hurting.

The journey west for Clarissa was the only hope she had for her daughter and her to give an unblemished beginning after her husband left her. After meeting the trail leader, she holds her heart tightly lest she trust anyone again.

It's a quick, predictable read with unexpected bumps along the way.

This book is a wonderful inspirational romance. Filled with laughs and crys and 'real' characters with 'real' issues in their lives. You really do take the trek with west with them. You see their growth and change and witness heartbreak first hand. Take time to read WALK BY FAITH. Rosanne Bittner has such a wonderful way of writing. ( )

They are going north to Montana for free land; Clarissa Graham and her daughter, who is starting over after her husband left her, Michael and Carolyn, to start a church, and the wagon master, Dawson, who has alot of bitterness to get rid of and finds peace through the help of these people. Story keeps you reading to see what happens next. ( )

Though a host encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war arise against me,
Even then, in this will I be confident.
For in the day of trouble
He will hide me in His shelter;
In the secret place of His tent will He hide me;
He will set me high upon a rock.

Dedicated to my mother-in-law, Florence Irene Umphrey Bittner, better known to the whole family as "Grandma Bittner," who lived to the ripe old age of 101. Until she had to go into a nursing home in her late nineties, Florence attended Midway Baptist Church in Watervliet, Michigan, faithfully every Sunday morning, as well as often attending Sunday evening services, Wednesday evening services and most other church functions, in spite of bouts with breast cancer, colon cancer, two broken hips and arthritis that finally put her in a wheelchair. Even when using walkers and a wheelchair, she still attended church.
