Love on Tap by Judi Lynn
Mill Pond #2

Cast of characters – there were many – with side stories aplenty
Writing – more of a diary than an immersion into the action of the story
Food – plenty of meals and ingredients listed that made me want to get out a cookbook or google online
Romance – there was some but it was rather tame and late to the party
Hero – Chase, a handsome hunk that had women chasing after him – why did he want Paula?
Heroine – Paula, a widowed mother of two and a chef – she had the hots for someone other than the hero for half the book and that someone was a loser.
Storyline – had potential
Characters that may show up in future books in the series:
*Tyne – another hunk and stellar cook
* Daphne – a woman in love with the wrong man
* Maya – sweet, abused teenager with siblings that also are in need
* The younger persons working in the kitchen
* Paula’s mother

I had high hopes for this book but it never drew me in even though the elements for a good read were there. I never really warmed up to Paula and felt the story a bit of a plod most of the time. I have a feeling that this book will appeal to someone looking for a small town romance who likes a modest and moderate story telling style rather than one that immerses the reader within the pages.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC. This is my honest review.

2-3 Stars – depending on vendor/website ( )
