For grades 6th-12th, this book is about how three strangers work together to find out why one of their (Elvin) grandfathers was attacked. While they are trying to figure it out, they come across masterpieces that are worth a fortune. Together they will do what they can to save their home Harlem. This is a good book to read, that teaches students how if you work together, you can make an impact on others and the community. ( )

Jin lives with her adopted grandparents in Harlem. When she is asked to create a project about her neighborhood she has no idea where to start until Alex, another girl from her class, comes to visit the bodega to gather food for the shelter. Together the two girls and Alvin, whose grandfather was recently attacked, set out to discover the mystery of Harlem's Invisible 7 and maybe uncover some lost art work along the way. ( )

Harlem, with its stately brownstones, honking horns, and bustling street life, passed in a blur as Jin Yi sprinted the entire ten blocks from school to her grandparents' bodega.
