The artist Juan Castillo (b. Antofagasta, Chile 1952, lives and works in Sweden), a founder-member in the mid-seventies of the group *C.A.D.A. (Art Collective Action). This exhibition is structured around the notions of frontiers, borders, migration, "which uses reflect on the effects of globalization and the representations of the territory. "Minimal" Baroque "is the continuity of a work program being conducted by the artist on the basis of intervention and occupation of place. Previously, they were: Auckland, New Zealand, Stockholm, Sweden, Fuerteventura, Spain, Santiago and Valparaiso. These exhibitions are from the records, testimony and sounds of people according to their locations in the intermingling of languages and transit of the subjects in the narratives of the urban imaginary, concocted in the identity crisis created by globalization. o The CADA was formed by Lotty Rosenfeld, Rau?l Zurita, Diamela Eltit, Fernando Castillo and Juan Balcells. In 2009 it held 30 year intervention after the first intervention that made the group famous in Santiago in 1979, called "To avoid starvation in art". The book includes texts by Waleska Pino-Ojeda, researcher from the University of Auckland, New Zealand; Nilo Casares, art critic and curator from Spain and teorics from Chile Fernando Balcells and Carlos Ossa and 1 DVD-catalog with the visual documentation of the interventions done.… (mere)
