I loved this short story. It was a cute story about Star Wars fans waiting in line for days for The Force Awakens to be released in theater. ( )

This was a really funny story about waiting in line for a Star Wars movie. It was a World Book Day Book. I've never heard of World Book Day before, in the US we have free Comic Book day in May but now I want World Book Day! ( )

Star Wars, Starbucks and mean girls. A book about friendship, life's unfairness and misgivings. A great beginning at the end.

"There were already two people sitting outside the theatre when Elena got there, so she wouldn't be first in line"

It's December 2015. Star Wars time. And Elena is determined to be part of the party, so against her mother's wishes, she decides to join the line. She's 18 now and can do what she wants.
But the line doesn't quite live up to her expectations. She's third in line, she's also last in line. She had expected crowds and parties and costumes. What she gets is coldness, and peeing in a cup. But still, Star Wars!!

I've never read a Rowell book before, although I keep meaning to. It seems like she's an author that would fit me perfectly, so I really must look up her longer stuff. This is a World Book Day book, which means it is a short story rather than a novel. But I liked it. And it helped me celebrate Star Wars Day today! ( )
