Ward|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1437768069p2/20248.jpg] Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance, Suspense 5 Stars I absolutely loved every word, sentence and paragraph. As usual J.R. Ward has delivered a story that has all the elements of yet another masterpiece. You are not the reader, but a participant in this world. You are connected in every sense of the word. You don't just read her Black Dagger books. You live it. You breath it. You fully experience it. In truth, you yearn for the next story like an addict for their next fix. In this one we get Peyton & Novo's story. They are the main mc's. While I loved their story, what I really loved..... Is Saxton! Saxton & Ruhn. Who knew Saxton had it in him to be a badass! I only wish we had more of them. They were definitely some of my favorite parts. This was another beautifully executed story by J.R. Ward. She brought out a hundred and fifty emotions in me during this book. Those are the best kind for me. I don't even know where to begin because there was so much going on in this book. I guess I'll start with Novo and Peyton. Both are in the Black Dagger Brotherhood training program. Novo is from a medium income family and Peyton is filthy rich. Both are totally promiscuous and emotionally detached or stunted. Novo is driven while Peyton is more of a quitter or maybe he just gets bored with things. In a previous book, Novo seemed attracted to Peyton but he seemed to only have eyes for Paradise, another trainee who is already mated to one of the other trainees. Paradise is oblivious to it but everyone else sees it. Peyton propositioned Novo but she didn't feel like being a substitute for Paradise so she turned him down. In this book, Peyton starts to realize he's attracted to Novo but they both have a really bad way of relating to each other. I got so frustrated with them that I just wanted to knock their hard heads together to wake them up. Then there's Ruhn and Saxton. Saxton has been around in the series for a while but I never knew quite how I felt about him. He was just always so formal and polite which seemed a little stuffy and off-putting to me but he has always been loyal to the King and Brotherhood. Ruhn is a new character who was introduced in Blood Vow. He's quiet and polite but you just know he has some kind of past he's not proud of so it peaked my interest. I was more interested in Ruhn and Saxton’s romance than Novo and Peyton's because of the way things developed and the way they handled Ruhn's past. They just seemed so much more mature than Novo and Peyton who caused most of their own problems by the way they behaved or misbehaved. I think this series might be winding down but there are still stories to be told and questions to be answered like, What the hell is going to happen with Assail? Everyone hears him screaming non-stop somewhere in the medical clinic. What is going on with the Omega? Does Boone get a love story? And then I have a brain hiccup. I remember something happening to Throw but was never really sure what exactly happened. Can anyone explain that to me? Anyway, I thoroughly lost myself in this book. I don't know how I'm going to wait another year for the next book. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

HTML:NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In this sexy paranormal romance novel set in the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1 New York Times bestselling author J. R. Ward tells the story of two couples—both fighting to find love in the midst of the war with the Lessening Society. A vampire aristocrat, Peyton is well aware of his duty to his bloodline: mate with an appropriate female of his class and carry on his family’s traditions. And he thought he’d found his perfect match—until she fell in love with someone else. Yet when his split-second decision in a battle with the enemy endangers the life of another trainee, Peyton has to face the idea that his future, and his heart, actually lie with another. Novo, as a female in the Black Dagger Brotherhood’s training program, feels like she has to prove herself to everybody—and she has no interest in being distracted by falling in love. But when Peyton proves to be so much more than a rich playboy, she is forced to confront the tragedy that has broken her soul and closed her off from love. As the two grapple with Novo’s past and Peyton’s present, another couple must contend with a connection that is unparalleled—and potentially scandalous. Saxton, who has had his heart broken, discovers in himself a deep-seated attraction to Ruhn, a new member of the household. But will the other male explore the connection? Or will he close his mind and his heart to what could be true love . . . and cost Saxton everything? Praise for J. R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series “Utterly absorbing.”—Angela Knight “To die for . . . I love this series!”—Suzanne Brockmann. No library descriptions found. |
