I wrote this in April 2005: I am not enamoured of Mr. Dershowitz; however, this book must be read! It is an eye-opening account of the "legal shenanigans" that "legal gurus", namely judges.. do (continue to do) within our legal system! ( )

4100 America on Trial: Inside the Legal Battles That Transformed Our Nation, by Alan M. Dershowitz (read 3 Dec 2005) This is a discussion of 63 cases which the author characterizes as "legal battles that transformed America." Unsurprisingly, some cases which the author was in are among the cases discussed, e.g., Mike Tyson, Claus Van Bulow. This is an easy to read book and each case and the commentary thereon was hugely interest-holding. ( )
