Weather words is an informational book about the weathe. It introduces weather concepts in a simplified and easy to understand wa. It also introduces readers to weather vocabulary. It uses pictures to show exactly what each word means along with a written explanation.

This is a neat book. While simple, it covers many different weather events and adds to the readers vocabulary. It is reminiscent of a comic book or graphic novel in the way the words and pictures are presented. I enjoyed the brightly colored pictures and the simplistic way it explains weather events and how they are formed. I would recommend this book for elementary students.

1. Create a graph or chart of the weather for one month.
2. Watch the weather channel daily and discuss any questions the student may have. ( )

I liked this book for a few reasons. First, I liked how the author used very simplified language to explain difficult and abstract concepts. It is written in a way that can be helpful for a wide age range of students (different parts of the book for different ages). Second, the book provides pleasant, informative pictures and diagrams to enhance and explain the text. The big idea of this book is to introduce and explain basic weather concepts. ( )
