( ) I really wanted to like Tolle, and in some ways I do. But I feel as though he has grabbed a lot of the great things from a multiplicity of religious traditions and put them together. Which sounds good at first, until you realize that it means that it can't all be true. Most of the religions of the world are mutually exclusive and if one is true, the other one can't be true at the same time. Even so, Tolle grabs them all and mashes them together, resulting in some stuff that sounds good, but has no real substance of truth at the core. I had heard a lot about his ideas about stillness and meditation, so I listened to this, hoping that there might still be some interesting points on those subjects. While there were definitely a couple of bits that are good to ponder, much of it comes across as fluff and pop-psychology. I must admit, that in my mind, it is a bit more solid than much of the other pop-psychology that I see around today, but without that core of truth, where are you? ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
