There's a Giraffe In My Soup (udgave 2016)

I really like the illustrations in this book, and the story was ok. I think if I was reading it to a group of kids I'd skip the words and just talk about what's going on in the pictures. ( )

It’s about a boy who goes to a restaurant to get soup and all these animals escaped from the zoo and was in the boys soup.

Different animals appear in a bowl of soup while dining in a fine restaurant. Fun picture book to enjoy animals who live in a zoo.

A boy goes to a fancy restaurant only to find a giraffe in his soup! But when he sends it back to the kitchen, he gets a new soup bowl with an alligator inside! Every time he sends back his dish, another animal appears...

This is a humorous picture book complete with charming illustrations. I could easily see kids giggling over the waiter's exasperated reactions to each new animal. That's not much of substance to the book beyond that, but sometimes it's good just to have a silly read with the little ones in your life. ( )
