In this second book about what the ladybug heard, she hears, robbers, Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len make a plan to steal the fat red hen. They were just stealing eggs, but thought, why not steal the egg laying fat red hen and make lots of money. Little do they know that the ladybug overhears them and makes a plan with the farm animals to foil their plan. I would recommend this for any collection owning the first one in the series. This is similar to the house that Jack built. It builds on itself throughout the story and children will love to mimic the animal sounds. It would be great read aloud story. ( )
