Like the name of the books says, Hendricks is well aware of the fact that the real struggle in indian country was(is) deeply rooted in the question from land. Still, most of the book describes the history of AIM and the oppressive forces that affected to that movement in 70´s. So much said, the book seems to keep the promise of slogan: "investigating journalism" (no more no less) . In the end of the book he says something like: "After so long time of unsolved things(crimes) and silence, this book will hopefully be the beginning for more studies of the subject". Hopefully, though perhaps most would not wish them to be written in exactly similar vein. ( ) ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
Distinctions
Investigative reporter Hendricks provides a look into the dark side of the FBI and its decades-long undeclared war against American Indians. But the book is no mere anti-FBI tract--it also digs up skeletons in the garden of the American Indian Movement, the FBI's main nemesis. What unfolds is a sinuous tale of murder, conspiracy, and cover-ups that stretches from the plains of Wyoming to the polished corridors of Washington, D.C.--From publisher description.
