It was hard to me to think about this Micah as the same in [b:Unwrapping Hank|23242668|Unwrapping Hank|Eli Easton|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1410957547s/23242668.jpg|42786084], because is not the same to be laid-back than appearing almost abulic. In particular I didn't like his attitude with Yas and in general if not for Sloane -and a dog with a bit of preternatural behavior- nothing would have happened. Talking about Yas, she is a silly character yet no silly-adorkable but silly-irritant and all her situation with Helen is unconvincing. There's a general tone that I believe is what ends up defining the book: plain. Loved this. From the first page, Easton had me. She earned every star: characters, settings, escalating tensions, family, mistakes, and a satisfying happily ever after. If you're curious how you might like m-m romances, and if family dynamics appeal to you, too, try this one. It's is one of the best. [3.5] Not too shabby! But I gotta admit, Sloane and Hank would be the only two I could see whenever they made an appearance lol. Micah and Leo were pretty cute together, but I wish Micah didn’t lead Yas on for almost the entirety of the book. He should’ve told her where things stood between them before trying to ask out Leo and save Leo from misconstruing his intentions. Regardless, this was an enjoyable read :) I'm torn. I could see what the author intended to do but for the sake of the book I wish she'd found another way to do it. I didn't enjoy this as much as Unwrapping Hank, that's not to say I didn't like the book, I did but I'd been looking forward to Micah's story for months and sometimes anticipation isn't always a good thing. But that's my problem not the book's. I liked the relationship between Micah and Leo. I could see them as a couple but I missed the build-up, that period where they could have been dancing around each other, Micah keeping the friend-distance while they travelled to the farm to scope the place out, Leo's grudging (but not) acceptance of the use of the farm. They went from nothing to flirting in the barn in zero flat, yes it had been weeks for them but for the reader it was nothing more than the turn of a page. I liked Sloane's POV, as the meddler, but the girls I could have done without. Their page time could have been given over to the main couple, giving us a stronger connection. In fact I really didn't like either girl. Yas was vapid to the point of stupidity. If a guy stops calling you, makes every effort to avoid you, then he's probably not interested. Thinking you are so amazing that he must be into you is your problem not his (I agree I'd have preferred Micah to man up and tell her he wasn't interested especially the way she was acting at his parents but I have to put most of the blame with her being so up herself). And Helan was manipulative and two faced (only homo! -- I wanted to smack her). And their 'relationship' was completely unbelievable. Still love Hank and Sloane. I'd read again, but I'll be skipping the girl's POV. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Synopsis: Micah is the president of his frat, and in his final year of school. He's had girlfriends, and although he's been interested in guys, he's never gone out with one. After an amazing kiss in a game of spin the bottle, he has developed a crush on Leo, who is part of the drama club. Micah has seen everything Leo has been in. He is also casually dating someone who is part of Lee's semester end project.
Leo has never hidden who he is, and while he thinks that Micah is interesting, he doesn't want to be a bi-curious experiment. So he blows Micah off, not even really wanting to be friends. Micah persists, trying to show Leo that he is serious about him, but that is mitigated a little by the fact that Micah can't seem to tell the girl he is casually seeing that he isn't interested.
Then the venue for the final project falls through, and Micah volunteers his parents' barn. Leo and Micah head out early, and in making the barn loft an appropriate venue, they grow closer, leaving Micah wanting more, and Leo thinking that maybe he and Micah could have a future.
What I liked: Micah's persistence. I liked that he didn't go all stalker on Leo, but that he didn't just let Leo slide away, either. Leo was focused on doing the best job that he could, even when obstacles were thrown in his way.
What I didn't like: Leo was so resistant to Micah. I honestly didn't really connect with characters, so nothing that they did mattered to me. ( )
