I’ve read this entire series and for some reason never knew about Rip so imagine my surprise and great joy when I found it and loved loved loved it. The whole storyline is so intriguing and Nikolai was so amazing I loved him instantly. This book is just a juicy tidbit to add to the series and Nikolai is a favorite mafia man now. ( )

I adored RIP so much this is a the second time round for me , what can i say there's just something about a sexy Russian brainwashing doctor that does it for me, Being able to control with the mind that way its just so Hot Hot Hot, Nic was perfect and Maya (love that name) was just the right amount of vulnerable but also tough , throw in some sexy Italians and a bat crazy grandmother and we have a perfect recipe of a tale. can't say enough good things about this story I really enjoyed it . RIP is a little darker than RVD's usual mafia reads. The Italian mafioso characters we've all grown to love are in it and do bring their signature brand of humor and play, but most of this story is about the mysterious, dangerous and sometimes horrific inner workings of the Russian mob.

Everything has always felt a little off in Maya's life. She can't quite figure out what it is that nags at her. She knows her father is a bad man and high up Russian mobster, and she is determined to focus on her schooling and future.

Nikolai's whole life is secrets and cover ups, smoke and mirrors. Under everything is a very capable, deadly genius juggling too many balls. Something is bound to drop at some point. His goal is to be in the best position when that happens.

Maya and Nikolai are forever connected. Damage has been done. Bad things are happening. Both are attached to infamous legacies. No one can change the past. The only thing to do is move forward to whatever fate awaits them.

I liked the way the plot unraveled. The deep material kept my interest. I recommend checking it out, especially if you love organized crime novels..

As a lover of Rachel's books I was looking forward to reading this one.

This is the story of Maya & Nikolai, a story of two people that need to overcome their past in order to live in the present. This read is not all it seems, it more. There are lots of twists and turns you don't know where you are heading.

Maya is a woman that is not weak, that takes no shit, she is a very strong female character and that is what I like in a read.

Nikolai, is a very scary, sexy male character and not all what he seems

Filled with mafia sexy men, full of violence, sexy scenes, twists, suspense, I mean what more can you ask for. Rachel has a way of drawing you into a book and holding on tight until you have finished. A read that is written so well, that you will waiting for more books by her.
