When Donna arrives at the rodeo, she isn't too happy to find that her campsite is next to her former boyfriends. Years ago she and Jamie broke up after a tragic accident--and she isn't sure that renewing their acquaintance is a good thing. Jamie, however, is thrilled to see Donna again, and he hopes that she can see how he has changed--and that she might be willing to renew their romance. A typical romantic plot line ensues--with resistance to the relationship coming from Donna's brother and from Donna's own insecurities. Eventually the truth about the past and about Jamie's changed character is revealed and all ends well. I liked that Jamie was shown struggling with his pull toward alcohol and that he had a strong male friend who helped him out during his weak moments. Otherwise, this is a pretty typical and predictable Christian romance. ( )
