An incredibly touching story of a young woman on a journey to find happiness while staying true to herself. Fantastic writing, storyline, and characters make this one a must read! A brilliant beginning to what is sure to be a great career for debut author AJ Pine. ( )

Wonderful writing style. Beautifully edited. Fascinating foray into the world of the arts. New author to watch: she's an English teacher and her love for the language is clearly portrayed here. She took the time and effort to have the book edited.

SPOILERS***SPOILERS***

To me, all of the above couldn't make up for the Hxh's lack of permanent connection. I'm shelving this under "Coming Of Age" instead of NA because their story is typical of that genre.

Their chemistry is intense. That's what they have going for them. They don't know each other. Spend no time together to maintain and build a relationship. He leaves her, rejects her far too often, has an on-off girlfriend. She fidgets around with another guy (I can totally see him having his own story)and yet a 3rd guy....

The bottom line:
Here they're together and she's trying to get them to work on their relationship:

EXCERPTS @ 92%
Her: - “Come with me,”
Him: - “I’m all yours,”
Her: - “Not now. I mean, yes, I do want you to come with me now. But I’m talking about this summer. We need more time...”
Him: - “There’s nothing I want more,” he says, kissing my lashes that are now wet with tears. “But I can’t.”

Right up until the end, he is constantly choosing everything/one else over her. There are ALWAYS reasons to leave her, or reject her. (Naturally, he has a change of heart @ the end)

I'm resentful of the hold this book has on me.
I've tried reading and listening to another book but my mind is constantly drawn to this one because I thoroughly enjoyed every other aspect of the book except the ones where the Hxh should be connecting.

I really enjoyed reading this book, and was surprised to know that it was A.J. Pine's debut!

Jordan, is an English Lit major spending her junior year in Aberdeen, Scotland. On the train from London to Aberdeen, she meets Griffin. I really liked Griffin, he is the worst kind of man-whore because he has a heart!
She also meets Noah, who happens to be an English Lit major as well. A lot happens, and a slight love triangle is formed. I usually hate love triangles, but Pine has managed to do it tastefully, and it wasn't so bad because you actually love both guys! well, it is somewhat bad because you can't really choose between them in this case, while other books make it easier to root for one guy, this book makes you see this whole thing differently.

I also loved Elaina & Duncan! They were so much fun!

I hope Elaina and Duncan get their own book.. I know that the second book "What If" is about Griffin *happy dance*.

This is a NA book that I wish more NA books were like.. The only other university experience book I enjoyed and loved was Rainbow Rowell's Fangirl.
