(3.5) | Ingen | This book is the very essence of Jupiter. From its apt title, to its generous use of many famous chart examples, to Arroyo's trademark insight and wisdom on every page, "Exploring Jupiter" is positively a winner! The presentation of the astrology is clear, practical and intelligent, making it a must for both newer students and more experienced practising astrologers. Unlike the majority of modern astrologers, Arroyo refers to Jupiter's ancient rulership of Pisces as being significant. The book includes: Jupiter through the signs, Jupiter through the houses (arranged by element), Jupiter aspects in the birth chart and so on. As always with Stephen Arroyo, it is the clarity and profound depth of these guidelines for interpretation that is so striking. The chapter on transits involving Jupiter is particularly good, building on ideas he has expressed in earlier writings.… (mere) |

Oplysninger fra den engelske Almen Viden Redigér teksten, så den bliver dansk. Many of the most positive expressions of Jupiter are out of fashion in this era, for Jupiter’s concerns are in many ways the opposite of Mercury’s rationalistic, analytical interests and detailed approach to life. (This is further illuminated by the zodiacal polarity of Sagittarius and Gemini, as I will explain in Chapter 1.) Such subjects and qualities as ethics, nobility, forthrightness, altruism, and high-mindedness have in fact almost a quaint, old-fashioned ring to them today, so thoroughly has the media, along with the educational establishment, buried such lofty concerns in scorn and derided them as irrelevant to our “scientific” individualistic (i.e., egocentric) age. | |

Oplysninger fra den engelske Almen Viden Redigér teksten, så den bliver dansk. If we can extract from Jupiter’s teachings an essential optimism about life and a willing adjustment to the infinite varieties of human beings and life experiences, we should be able to go through this uncharted journey with a greater cheerfulness - yes, even with gratitude toward the greater power that supports us from within as we walk upon life’s path with faith in the future.
