On Scholastic Book Wizard, this book has been identified as having a grade 3-5 level. This makes a lot of sense personally, because I bought this book at a book fair in the 3rd grade after having learned about the body during a special "health" week. I remember being so excited to get the hard, cold facts about the human body, especially since I was set on becoming a doctor at that time. Whether students want to be a human doctor, veterinarian, paleontologist, or are just interested in bones, this book would be an excellent read for them to have some questions answered that they have been wondering all this time. I would use this with a health lesson just like my 3rd grade teacher did or recommend it to students during a science center time to read on their own. Overall, I would rate this a 5/5 again because it presents accurate facts on a range of subjects (fossils, human skeletons, tusks, etc) in a way that is easy for children to understand yet be informed about. Media: Pictures Age Appropriateness: Middle school Review/Critique: This was a great informational book about bones! It talked about different types of bones, how bones work and the bones that all sorts of different species have. I enjoyed this book and found it to be a great informational book since it covered and had many facts about bones which are very interesting and educational, I learned some fun facts about bones that I had not yet learned! For example teeth are not really bones because they are made of enamel not the stuff all the rest of our bones are actually made up off. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
