I'm a space nerd, so I'd read this book to my students when we were learning about space just to make it funny. This book is about bunnies who set off in a rocket into space. They ended up meeting more bunnies from different planets and had a blast in space! This book gets really into what happens in space but on a kids level. ( )

The text is an adorable poem about bunnies who like to go to outer space, but they always come home! The illustrations are so different and interesting. This is a great book for beginning readers. ( )

I really liked this story. I loved that it all rhymed. I also liked that it was so far fetched because it really is all about imagination and how far someone can really go with it. I think students would really enjoy this story because I really did. ( )

This book talks about bunnies that love to get into rocket ships and go up to space while wearing shiny space suits. When they are there they see tiny bunnies on the ground, different planets, shooting stars and many other things. They work together and make friends with other bunnies that land in space. The book ends by saying that bunnies always make it back home.
Critique (Genre): This is a good example of a science fiction picture book for kids because it takes something that they have connections with (people going to space) and makes it into a fictitious story by having bunnies take the place of astronauts. This is a great way to introduce space and science into the classroom for young students.

Appropriate for Pre-K through grade 2. Children will love the cute rhyming story and the vivid space illustrations. The story is about some bunnies that travel into space and encounter three-eared bunnies from another planet. They experience a fascinating adventure, yet they make it home in time to tuck into bed. Addresses adventure, friendship, exploration, and home. Use for read aloud and follow-up activities with children.
