Winnie-the-Pooh's Teatime Cookbook (udgave 1993)

I've had this book for years, ever since I was obsessed with Winnie-the-Pooh as a young child. I never really gave it much thought until I wanted to make some cookies and happened upon this book in a drawer. Now the jam cookies are my signature cookie. ( )

I've used the Winnie-the-Pooh's Teatime Cookbook quite extensively -- the recipes for cucumber and cress sandwiches, honey cake, and chocolate tea bread have become favorites.

While the recipes are excellent, they are very basic (as one one expect from a children's cookbook) and lack nutritional information as well as illustrations of what the various dishes ought to look like. However, the Pooh quotes and Shepard illustrations are adorable and make up for those short comings. ( )

Wonderful little book of bread, cookie, and cake recipes for the perfect accompaniment to tea. Quotes from Winnie the Pooh make it fun to read.
