Loved the concept of the story. Two people with similar problems and from different worlds drawn to each other. Zafir a sheikh of mixed heritage born out of wedlock and Fern a young woman trying to find her way in the world who was also born out of wedlock. Zafir and Fern end up having a one night stand that causes her to leave her job without telling Zafir she is pregnant with his child. They do eventually find their way back to each other. Liked the concept of the story. NOT a bad story. Areas of the story seemed long and drawn out throwing the flow of the story off kilter for me. ( )

There were some hot moments and there were some okay moments. Zafir definitely was very alpha male and Fern was meek but not so meek that she wasn't able to stand up for herself and the things she believed were right.

I did feel that the more worldly Zafir took advantage of Fern just a little bit because of her innocence but other than that one moment, I thought the story was fine.

Would I recommend this? Yes, it's a nice read. ( )

Sheikh Zafir won't let his emotions rule his life except when it comes to his son. While on vacation at the oasis with his sisters family he sees his nieces English tutor and instantly wants her but she is painfully shy and clearly inexperienced then add to that he is fighting an uphill battle in his country because of his linage. But he can't seem to stay away and when he asks for her help only to learn that her lack of experience with men is so profound that she doesn't know how to deal with men.

Fern Davenport is so painfully shy from growing up with a mom who taught her that lust and sex were very bad. So when her friend and boss drags her on vacation where she meets her friends brother and she starts lusting after him she does whatever she can to avoid him but he makes her feel things and she cannot avoid him.
