Tigers Walking through the misty Florida woods one morning, twelve-year-old Rob Horton is stunned to encounter a tiger - a real-life, very large tiger - pacing back and forth in a cage. What's more, on the same extraordinary day, he meets Sistine Bailey, a girl who shows her feelings as readily as Rob hides his. As they learn to trust each other, and ultimately, to be friends, Rob and Sistine prove that some things - like memories, and heartaches, and tigers - can't be locked up forever. Even though a 12 year old boy coming across a caged tiger in the woods initially sounded like an odd theme to base a story around, this book actually ended up being far more sophisticated than I imagined at first glance. The story is really about the intricacies of relationships and coming to terms with loss. At a little over 125 pages, there isn't a lot of spare prose or descriptiveness, but in this case it really isn't necessary. Sometimes I wish novels written for adults followed a similar writing style and were less wordy. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
