I think this is a GREAT informational text. There are a number of features that we're all familiar with, but I've usually never seen them used to this extent. This feels like a textbook summarized down into a useful informational resource. There are hundreds of diagrams, actual photos, and accompanying captions for each that give just enough detail to explain the topics without overloading the reader! The text is also written simply and analogies are used in order to make complicated things seem a bit less daunting. The big idea is how cells work! ( )
