This is an excellent toolkit for student learning assessment. I return to it again and again for new ideas to assess student learning; new ways give new information. ( )

Highly recommended by a classics professor involved in the "teaching communities" um, idea. Personally, I found it worthless: suggestions for assessment methods, not backed up by research. In short, a cookbook. The recommender agreed that it was not scholarly research but rather a how-to. If you are inclined to trust ed research, I suppose you might get something out of it. ( )
