Not worth it, it's just some bonus content for the main series. Just makes me want to read the main series again. ( )

This is not the twenty-second volume in the story of Valerian and Laureline. Except it is. What I mean is, it’s not part of the story-arc which takes place over the previous twenty-one volumes, but rather pendants to the prior episodes. Most of these only occupy a double-page spread, and they don’t make much sense if you don’t know the volumes to which they refer. I’m not entirely sure why it needed to exist – they were contractually obliged to deliver a twenty-second volume? I don’t know. If you’ve read the previous twenty-one volumes – and I highly recommend them; ignore the crappy film – then you’ll know what to expect, and you’ll want the book anyway to complete the set. Now it’s all finished, I guess I’ll have to find another bande dessinée to read… perhaps in the original French? Now, where did I put my French-English dictionary… ( )

Fan de Valérian et Laureline, je fondais beaucoup d'espoir en ce nouveau tome, le vingt-deuxième. Mais, plutôt qu'une nouvelle aventure des agents spatio-temporels, on trouve une sorte d'hommage à la série, un retour sur certains lieux découpé en autant de petits récits à saveur touristique. Teintés de nostalgie, ces Souvenirs de Futurs sont profondément tournés vers le passé. On retrouve avec plaisir les images et les fresques de ces univers, mais l'aventure n'y est pas.

Mézières et Christin auraient toutefois annoncé en avril dernier dans le cadre d'un festival consacré à la BD " qu'il y a un Valérian qui chauffe! ". L'espoir est de retour.
