The pros: - Pleasant characters and a plot that was different and interesting. The cons: - Way, way, way too much of the author briefly and dispassionately telling the reader what the characters were doing, saying or feeling, instead of allowing the characters or situations to speak for themselves. More than once I felt like giving up because it was keeping me at a distance and preventing me from losing myself in the story. - though the SEALs were supposed to be super macho strong guys, they actually came across at times as wimps, and at one point, incompetent wimps. On at least two occasions one of the guys is unbelievably rendered unconscious while the heroine manages to keep going and even to rescue them. Wow, well...I can't say the writing is fabulous. It's not. But, the plot (the first part anyway) was interesting to me and before I knew it I just loved the guys! My BIL was a Navy SEAL, and the idea that they're all gorgeous and soft as marshmallow on the inside is a load of crap. But, I have the ability to ignore such things in the interest of FICTION. :) I am actually interested to see what happens to the rest of them, especially Abe & Mozart. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

Matthew _Wolf_ Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn_t have to do it very often. He_d been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside. When Caroline boarded the plane to Virginia to move across the country for her new job she never expected to be seated next to the hottest guy she_d ever seen. She also never expected he_d be so easy to talk to. She knew he_d never be interested in talking to her if he hadn_t been trapped in the seat next to her, but it was a nice way to spend a long plane ride. Neither Wolf nor Caroline were prepared for a terrorist hijacking of their plane, but if Caroline thought that would be the last time she_d see, or need, Wolf, she_d be sorely mistaken. I'm very disappointed.
1st, there are not ANY adult steamy scenes. In fact, the most done her is kissing. And even that is done in moderation.
2nd, there are quite a few editing errors.
3rd, repetition of stupid internal thoughts
4th, Cartoon villains that literally come off as Dudley Do-Right's nemesis, Snidely Whiplash. Even has the creepy cackle laugh that is used often.
5, numerous scenes come off as disjointed and amature.
I have a ton of this author's books.
I thought they were ADULT.
This one is 'CLEAN'.
In fact, it is so clean I could get more steam from reading the Song of Solomon.
More than likely all the books I have of hers, and I have a ton of them, are going in my trash bin.
