I really liked this one, except for the weirdness of a bird (a stork, maybe?) asking for "two eggs". That kind of freaked me out, so I docked it a star. Otherwise, this was a pretty awesome book. ( )

Everyone who visits the diner wants two eggs. But if you are a mouse you want them one way, if you are rhino you want them another. Using Same but Different to point out the different style of eggs and the different animals adds to the success of this book. The cozy colorful pictures make you want to head to a diner in the city too. ( )

In this book everyone was 2 eggs, but they all want them prepared a different way. The book is very simple, and "2 eggs, please" is said on almost every single page. The moral of the book is that everyone likes eggs, but everyone is different and likes them a different way. This book would be great to read to kids to talk about diversity amongst people. You could discuss how everyone is different, but just like eggs, the same on the inside. This book doesn't use images of people, but different animals coming into a diner and order their eggs how they like them the best. Not being represented by people, also gives kids the opportunity to makes more connections about the diversity addressed in the book. ( )

I loved this book! It is a book that teaches children about differences. The setting of the book is a restaurant, all the animals in the book eat here. Every animal is surprised to know that although they all order eggs, they order them differently. Scrambled, boiled, sunny-side up, over easy, and even raw. The book ends with the chef saying how it’s different but the same. Sarah weeks also talks about differences in this book. ( )

All the animals are at the cafe, and the waiter asked what they would like. They all ordered two eggs but cooked differently. The chef at the end same they are prepared differently, but they are still eggs which makes them the same. ( )
