Exploring how neoliberalism has discovered the productive force of the psyche Byung-Chul Han, a star of German philosophy, continues his passionate critique of neoliberalism, trenchantly describing a regime of technological domination that, in contrast to Foucault's biopower, has discovered the productive force of the psyche. In the course of discussing all the facets of neoliberal psychopolitics fueling our contemporary crisis of freedom, Han elaborates an analytical framework that provides an original theory of Big Data and a lucid phenomenology of emotion. Some good ideas about the power dynamics of likes in social media politics and use of big data but incomplete conclusions and overly generalised perspectives.

Il "solito" Han, qui forse più denso, spezzettato e ostico del solito, con concetti che vanno a completare il puzzle del suo pensiero (ovviamente riflessione molto personale, giunto al quinto suo libro che leggo). ( )

engaging and informative. I've read several of his works in translation, and this has been my favourite. I'm not sure if it is because of the quality of translation, or the content, but I'd highly recommend this one. ( )
