Peter Grant still satisfying to spend time with and good to see more of the Thames family, PC Guleed and Caroline and her mum. Lots of women in this book. ( ![]() this series just gets better. OH PETER!! we're starting to really hit that point of too many characters to juggle in a fair and considered fashion, but these dumb books are so charming, I don't even care. Aaronovitch, Ben. Lady Ty, a hard-driving lawyer, who happens to be the goddess of the lost Tyburn River, is taking care of her patch of London when her daughter is accused of murder. Peter Grant and his Folly colleagues in charge of what old-school cops call “weird bollocks” had better be on the case or Lady Ty will not be happy. This is urban fantasy at its best. Aaronovitch feels free to add new, intriguing characters and change the valences on old ones whenever the situation demands. You might think he could not get away with it, but he does. The Rivers of London series continues to hold my interest. I read this a few weeks ago, and I had to think hard to even remember the plot. I don't take that as a great sign.
