In this book, a baby boy is being chased around the house by his mother, who just wants him to take a nap. The baby keeps finding things he would rather do like drink milk, sing and goof around. The mother finally suggests reading a book and the baby agrees. As they sit in the chair the baby finally falls asleep to the mother reading the book, then the mother finally gets to sleep as well. I thought this was a cute book because it is definitely a large problem in parenting, getting your child to take a nap. This is a constant struggle among parents and something they can all relate to. Children can see from the story that they need their sleep and they do need to take a nap. The book is also full of a lot of similar and rhyming words so it is easier for children to read along and learn the words easily. This is a great, fun beginning reading book. ( )
