If you plan to approach your Disney World vacation with the same level of planning Eisenhower applied to the D-Day landings in Normandy, this is your book. The authors apply operations management principles (if you're an MBA, you know what I mean) to tell you the best order to visit each attraction in each park. They even have an on-line app (at a small extra cost; $7.77 when I signed up) that can build custom "touring plans" based on only the attractions you want to visit. In addition, there are exhaustive reviews of Disney and non-Disney hotels and restaurants. Again, these guys are fanatical. Who else would visit rooms at every hotel and use a light meter to determine if there is acceptable lighting in the bathroom, desk, by the bed, etc?

The initial amount of data (and honesty about how crowded Disney is at the holidays, when I plan to visit) can be a bit overwhelming and discouraging, but if you can get through that phase, and if you can wade through the 850 or so pages, you will definitely feel prepared for your trip. If you don't have kids, you are excused from reading the long section on strollers!
