This was another Preschool Storytime book, topic was Emotions. The children enjoyed it just as much as I enjoyed reading it. ( )

A little Tyrannosaurus is disruptive in his preschool classroom in this rhyming picture-book from author Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen and illustrator Zachariah OHora. Each of the other little dinosaurs engages nicely in his or her play, but the Tyrannosaurus wrecks - continually! Eventually ejected from the group, he becomes quite sad, until his friends let him return and help him in his efforts to be more careful...

With a simple text told in rhyme, and bright, colorful artwork, Tyrannosaurus Wrecks! would make for an excellent read-aloud selection at story-time. The title of the book, and the continuous refrain about Tyrannosaurus wrecking things, is a fun play-on-words that young dinosaur-lovers are sure to enjoy, while the story premise, about carelessness causing discord among friends, but mindfulness making for better play, is well taken, and doesn't overwhelm the fun. Recommended to anyone looking for fun children's stories about play dynamics, as well as to fans of Zachariah OHora's artwork. ( )

This was very similar to Bob Shea's "Dinosaur vs." books. ( )
