They may ride off into the sunset, but cowboys never go out of style. These manly men embody the fiercely independent, earthy alpha male and hero who isn't afraid to show the gentle, nurturing side of his complex nature when faced with a woman in need. Even when he's coated with dust from riding behind a herd of cattle or up to his knees in mud freeing a calf from a wallow, this stud still generates a lot of Cowboy Heat. Delilah Devlin's Cowboy Lust was a sensation, hitting the top ten of romance books and generating a river of praise. Award-winning Devlin is back on the ranch with stories of rugged romantics, rough riders, and rope wranglers sure to satisfy any reader who craves the idea of that gruff, romantic hero, a man of few words but many moves. Cowboy Heat sits tall in the saddle, winning hearts and spurring readers to new heights of happiness.… (mere)

Hot day-um! Out of all the Romance for Women anthologies I've read, Cowboy Heat takes the prize. All fourteen stories were scorching hot, and anything you've probably heard about cowboys come true in this sizzling collection. All of them were M/F and very erotic with graphic sex and language. If you don't like the "c" word, you might not enjoy some of the stories. If I had to rate each one individually, the majority would rate between 4 or 5 stars. If you love sexy cowboys who treat their women right, are true gentlemen, and well endowed then you'd be crazy to pass this up. Get it, I promise you will not regret it. Mine is going on my nightstand.

Mrs. Morgan and the Marshal by Emma Jay - A dalliance with the sexy town marshal makes a woman rancher question which she wants most, her independence or him.

Very romantic and hot. I loved that Sybil stood her ground and made her boundaries clear. I also loved that Addison wasn't intimidated by her desire to retain her independence and made a gesture so grand, she couldn't refuse him.

Remember by Mia Hopkins - A jilted bride saddles up with the blazing-hot cowboy stripper hired for her cancelled bachelorette party.

Oh my! This sexy, dirty-talking stripper has the moves and the goods to make Eliza both forget and remember everything. With a member as thick as her wrist and balls the size of peaches .... you'll have to read the book to learn the rest. Multiple positions just draw out this delicious torture, and I'm not talking about the heroine.

Cowboy Downtime by Cheyenne Blue - Passion ignites at a polocrosse game in the Australian outback—she plays attack, he plays defense, and their sexy wager decides the winner.

Another scorching hot story. I loved their competitiveness and flirtatiousness with one another. That obviously translated very well to other activities.

Coming Home by Megan Mitcham - A busted-up rodeo champion finds the squirt he tormented in youth transformed into a fiery woman challenging him to become the man she deserves.

What a sweet story of friends to lovers. I really liked sassy Scarlett and the way she bossed Barrett around, not allowing him to wallow in self pity. I understood why he waited so long to claim her, but dang it, I was ready to put the spurs to him for dragging it out. Sweet and hot!

Her Captured Cowboy by Layla Chase - A lonely woman, ostracized by Colorado townspeople after years in Indian captivity, takes what she needs from a wandering cowboy.

While the actions more than likely fit the time in which this was set, I felt a little uncomfortable with what came across as non-con on Bo's part in the beginning. For a romance, I think the first scene toed the line a little. However, Meghan's quick turnaround between being selfish and realizing what she was doing wasn't right redeemed her in time. This one was just okay for me.

Back Stage Pass by Cynthia D’Alba - A sexy night with a hired escort, who looks exactly like a woman’s favorite country singer, leaves her with a back stage pass and a lot of burning questions.

This was so funny it was brilliant! Laughing aside, the escort had a deliciously wicked side to him that made for one hot birthday present.

Unfinished Business by Cat Johnson - A class reunion gives one woman a second chance with a sultry cowboy from her past.

Skye and Rowdy don't beat around the bush. Another scorching hot story. Fast and sexy.

At the Mercy of the Cowboy by Amber Lin - A new farmhand finds rough living and an even rougher cowboy to soothe away her pain.

You can't go wrong with an Amber Lin story. Ever. What should be a simple story of two characters bearing some painful burden, it somehow feels heavy with her special brand of poetic prose. Beautifully written and so hot.

Cowboy Adonis by Michael Bracken - When a naked cowboy rises from a stock pond, a nature photographer’s assignment gets personal.

The shortest story thus far but no less hot. I enjoyed their flirtatious banter and mature confidence.

Denim and Lace by Robie Madison - One woman in a pair of rhinestone heels plus two sexy cowboys equals a highly combustible combination.

A menage, kind of, and definitely the tamest story so far. I liked the boldness of the heroine and Clay definitely seemed more of her speed.

One Track Cowboy by Delilah Devlin - After tracking two lost hikers, a park ranger and a local rancher lose themselves to a wild passion.

Zane's standoffish behavior really ratcheted up the sexual tension. Their joining was wild to say the least (fist time I've come across fisting in a romance). Ridiculously hot story, and I love a dominant cowboy.

Skin Deep by Randi Alexander - A pretty city girl and a scarred country cowboy discover love waits when you’re ready to look beneath the surface.

I have nothing but love for this story. A western twist on The Beauty and the Beast. I love characters that can find someone who will accept them as they are, scars and all. Their connection made for a deeply sensual joining.

Drop Two Tears in a Bucket by Shoshanna Evers - Alone on her Montana cattle ranch after her husband divorces her, a woman finds satisfaction in the arms of the one cowboy she can’t resist.

A quick fast read, and I liked the older heroine, younger hero scenario.

A Cowboy for Delilah by Sabrina York - The last thing this independent, high-powered lawyer wants is a cowboy in her life, but one steamy kiss from a sexy rancher burns her resolve to a crisp.

Ms. York delivers once again with scorching hot sex and humor. Delilah is quite the spitfire, and I loved how the "Neanderthal cowboy" was blasting through her biases. The dining table sex was wicked.

Shall We Dance? by Myla Jackson - When a lonely woman gives private dance lessons to a shy, sexy cowboy, she stumbles on passion worth fighting for.

What a heart-warming, romantic quickie. This somewhat shy pairing was adorable and sensual during their dance lesson. I really liked it.
