But, it makes for some funny interactions between the two and interesting chemistry. The irony of reality is that all her beguiling innocence was what exposed Jared emotionally and provided access to his emotional reality. Mostly friends, who sorta frolick, a deeper passion begins to emerge. Jared is Jared. A sexy porn star who doesn't seem to mind when complete strangers take residence in his home. He's frank and matter of fact about sex, but his heart is closed. Eventually their friendship makes it's way around the need for safe sex due to Jared's profession and the complications of sex without condoms. On this point, I respect that Justine went the distance with this in the story line as characters need to value their sexual health. Which finally makes Jared recognize his own need for intimacy. The plot wasn't developed enough and being in Autumn's head 100% of the time got tiresome. She needed a life of her own, besides revolving around her desire and attraction for Jared. A YA phenomenon that is old, cliche and boring. (sorry, it's true) I think Jared's POV would have been a nice balance to this story. I especially love the cover to Justine's story. I think that a bit more plot development and providing Autumn a bit more of her own life and fortitude would have helped... All in all, a fun read. This is a very unique and entertaining story. I enjoyed it. The author did a great job of storytelling and bringing something new to the reader.
I liked it because it was so different. Most adult contemporary romance stories are about bikers, rock stars, billionaire businessmen, Doms, fighters, Masters, virgin first loves or love triangles. I found it refreshing to read a love story involving a porn star. It was outside the norm for me. I did have some "no no no don't" moments cause I was jealous on the other's behalf, but it was definitely worth the money to buy it & the time it took to read it.
It revealed a lot about the porn industry that I had never taken the time to even contemplate, and it did have somewhat of a message within.
Also it was hot.
