He has so many colorful choices in his closet to choose from, how will he decide on one? This book was very funny because it took an issue that most students "struggle" with before the first day of school and made it humorous and turned it into a cat's problem that he is having to face. When I was a kid I was a huge fashionista can always cared about what I wore to school, especially on the first day of school. Therefore, I related to this because I always put an immense amount of pressure on myself to pick the perfect first day of school outfit. Pete the Cat is just trying to be cool. He asks his friends and family what to wear and they all pick THIER favorite things for him to wear. He puts them ALL on. He ends up wearing way too many layers and things that just don't match or look good together. Pete looks in the mirror after he is done and he feels silly and too hot. So he decides to put on HIS favorite things. Then he decides, if you wanna be cool, you just gotta be you. I want to snap to a beat every time I read a Pete the Cat book, and this one was no different. Catchy rhymes, a smooth talking cat, and a lesson about it not being what you wear, but that attitude of who is wearing it that can make all the difference. A favorite children’s book that teaches about being yourself. It can be used in a classroom to practice colors. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
