A feisty small-town girl and the Hollywood star who broke her heart. An all-consuming love threatened by fame. One last chance at forever. Keri Ann Butler's life changed on the night she met movie star Jack Eversea. She thought she knew a Jack that was very different from the man adored by fans the world over. In the wake of his betrayal and abandonment, Keri Ann has had to pick up and move forward with the life she was supposed to live and has put off far too long. Suddenly Jack is back, and his explanations for why he left seem more and more plausible-and his declarations more seductive. But being Jack's latest tabloid accessory isn't on Keri Ann's career agenda, no matter how much she is attracted to him. And how can she can ever trust him again? Jack knows he let slip through his fingers the only "real" thing that ever happened to him. And his hands have been tied to try and stop it-until now. Jack is now fighting to save his relationship with Keri Ann, even as his crazy life threatens to tear them apart once again. The question is, can he convince her that she can have it all, that she can have him, and that she can have him forever?… (mere)

I read this book so that I could find out what happened after the first book in the series, Eversea, ended in a cliff hanger. I usually hate cliff hangers and nearly always resist reading the second book. This time, for reasons I can't explain, I just wanted to read it and find out what happens.

Jack Eversea has left Keri Ann Butler behind in Butler's Cove. She is devastated and doing her best to find what she needs to move on. Jack had every intention to go back and make Keri Ann understand that he was in love with her, but when Keri Ann's reputation is threatened by actions of his former girlfriend and co-star he holds back until he thinks it is safe and hopes it is not too late for them. Again, this book is full of all kinds of angst. I'm usually not a fan, but Natasha Boyd must have a way of writing that gets me past what I'm not a fan of and into the story. I think I'll continue on with the series. The next book is Keri Ann's brother Joey and her best friend Jazz's story. ( )

I finished this, but I felt like this was trying to make the story longer that was already told. In the end I'm not sure why I ended up finishing it. Well, to be fair, I have read worse, but I felt a bit bored... ( )

I really liked this book.
Complicated plot. Ex drama. No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
Redemption of Hero.
HEA.
Secondary characters drop breadcrumbs for possible future storylines. ( )

Picking up the pieces isn't always as easy as it seems. Keri seems to be moving forward... Still wishing, in the back of her mind, that Jack would show up. She needs to give up on that wish at some point... Her career is starting to take off. She is enrolled in school. She is moving on... slowly...

Jack has awaited the day that he could make it back to Keri. The day when things would be okay for them to be together. Although he isn't sure if she will have him, especially after months of no contact. As far as she is concerned, he left her. He chose his career and never looked back.

This book gives you all of the puzzle pieces that were missing in the first book... even some you had no clue were missing. The reunion of these two comes crashing head to head. Again, we see them struggling with their feelings and emotions. Things are so messed up, will they ever be able to work things out?

This book, literally picks the first book up off the ground and slams it. It is even more emotional and heart wrenching than the first. It will leave you with yet another hangover, but a satiated one. I know, that doesn't make sense. But it will when you read it. It is a little sappy here and there, which I don't normally like, but it suits the story line. I really liked the ending to this book.

**My overall thoughts on both books**

The story, as a whole is great! I love how it is told! There couldn't have been a better way to tell them. I thoroughly enjoyed both books and will definitely recommend them as anyone's next reads! ( )

I really enjoyed Eversea and I really wanted to enjoy Forever Jack but... Let's start with Keri Ann. I get that she was conflicted, I get that she wanted to be her own person and if I met her in real life I would probably tell her she was doing the right thing but as a heroine in a romance novel she just came across as selfish and irritating. The primary plot focus of a romance novel is. the. romance. A heroine who belittles her hero, rejects him on the basis of him not being good enough for her life (because really she rejected him constantly for his career and how it would eventually inconvenience her life) and try's to pacify her own insecurities about her talent as artist by blaming him for eclipsing her just doesn't fit well with this plot focus ( )
